Research Scientist (Molecular Biology), GeneFirst ltd, Oxford, UK
(two-year contract initially)

Purpose of job: To join a small dynamic team of people, in a friendly biotech company based on Milton Park, Oxford, UK, investigating novel nucleic acid detection technologies for molecular diagnostics.

​

Your job will be helping to develop the new technologies through to clinical application and will involve real-time PCR and next generation sequencing (NGS) techniques.

​

Attributes of the successful candidate will include:

​

• A technical background, at least to degree level, in molecular or applied biology.

• Experience working in a molecular biology laboratory.

• Experience in real-time PCR or/and next generation sequencing is a plus.

• Being able to work independently and within a team.

• Good communication skills and a diligent attitude.

​

The successful applicant should show enthusiasm to work on molecular diagnostics and a keen nature to learn and develop their skills within the company.

​
